Western Australia wildflowers at Kings Park

Updated: Nov 4, 2023

"...Our land abounds in Nature's gifts, of beauty rich and rare" are some of the word's of Australia's National Anthem. Western Australia comes alive with wildflower colour in Spring each year, and Kings Park in Perth showcases the beauty of literally thousands of colourful unique wildflowers. A spectacular 26C spring day was ideal for a walk around the park, soaking in the warmth of the sun and being amazed at the diverse shapes and colours of the flowers.

These are indeed a gift of Nature. With one of the world's largest collections of wildflowers, Western Australia is home to more than 12,000 species, 60% of these cannot be found anywhere else on Earth. Between August to October is the best time to visit and view. If you are unable to visit, please enjoy the video.
